Seminar

Szilvi Zörgő presented the MUSTS seminar, where she discussed the challenges and opportunities that sharing ethnographic data within academic research presents for researchers.

During this session, she discussed the importance of context in ethnography and how, when data is shared, it can lose some of its original meaning by being decontextualized. She also discussed the evolution of ethnography towards more collaborative working methods and the development of digital infrastructures that allow for the proper representation of data.

Furthermore, she addressed issues related to the recontextualization and co-construction of data, understanding that data is not neutral but rather linked to the circumstances in which it is produced.

Finally, in the seminar Szilvi proposed various ways to create more flexible infrastructures adapted to the needs of ethnographic research.
