Kuriko Kudo, PhD, is a designer, teacher and ViceDirector and Chief Technical Officer of the Telemedicine Development Center ofAsia, at Kyushu University

We are very inspired by the Medicine x Design project at Kyushu - You can read more about this amazing program for medical students in the link in the side bar - students in this program have co-designed objects like walking canes, used pokemon cards to explain procedures and made robots from leftover medical devices.

In the last weeks we also had the pleasure of hosting MakikoOya-Haragi, a colleague of Kuriko's in the Upcycled Clinic project. Kuriko is a health communication specialist (PhD), trained artist (MAF), and medical illustrator. These connections stemmed from a wonderful call also with NaoshigeAkita, Hiroyuki Matsuguma, Shunta Tomimatsu and Yasuyuki Hayama.

We visited MUMC+. meeting with colleagues from neonatal care, obstetrics and pediatrics, as well as medical educators at Maastricht University. It was an inspiring exchange which we hope will lead to further conversations and projects.

These connections stemmed from a wonderful call also with NaoshigeAkita, Hiroyuki Matsuguma, Shunta Tomimatsu and Yasuyuki Hayama, organised by Heloisa Flores and Veronica Yakimovich.
